Core Facilities

Leica SP5 Confocal Microscope

In addition to the biological research equipment present in the faculty laboratories, we also run a Core Facility that contains several pieces of equipment available for use by all faculty in QC Biology and throughout the Division of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. In this way, our researchers have access to machines that would be too large or expensive to be cost effective within an individual laboratory. Our Core Facilities fall into three main functions: Imaging, Molecular Biology, and Histology. The following link is a list of the equipment currently in our Core Facilities.

Our Department also maintains a computer center, an animal care facility, and a greenhouse.
